Beginner friendly. Requires basic fitness for 3-5 miles daily on maintained trails. No prior backpacking experience needed.

Moderate intensity. 5-7 miles daily. Focuses on field skills, campsite management, and refined navigation on uneven terrain.

Strenuous exertion. 7-10 miles daily with significant gain. Requires prior multi-day experience and high physical preparedness.

Expeditionary. Off-trail travel, peak bagging, and leadership decision-making. Peak fitness and advanced technical skills required.
